
Jason E. Weber works at the intersection of art and technology with a career spanning nearly twenty years. He is a multi-disciplinary designer and a seasoned project manager that has led technical teams on over 200 professional productions.
Specializing in Lighting Design and Multimedia Design, Jason’s work has been seen around the United States. He is inspired by the potential of modern technology and the simplicity of the dramatic power of light and shadow.
Additionally, Jason has served as the Lighting Supervisor for the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Alley Theatre. With a career centered around world premiere plays and musicals, including leading lighting teams for the final six Humana Festivals of New American Plays, Jason specializes in solving technical challenges in unique and innovative ways which draw on his own artistic sensibilities and passion for technology.
Finally, committed to sharing his experiences and serving as an industry leader, Jason published the first book dedicated to lifting the veil on the Production Electrician process in American Theatre, The Lighting Supervisor’s Toolkit. He has been a guest speaker at Harvard University, Columbia College Chicago, Rutgers University, University of Louisville, and the annual conference for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT).
